black himej
Small, ribbed, nut-like fruits that are harvested while still green are produced by this tree. The fruit’s elliptical-shaped seed is an abrasive seed that is encased in a fleshy, hard pulp. The vijaya variety, which is traditionally cultivated in the Vindhya Range of west-central India and has a roundish rather than an angular shape, is generally chosen. The fruit can also be used to tan leather and colour fabric.
